Yakoma’s Cup Vietnam is an open tournament and welcomes all football teams.

Yakoma Sports concept International Football Tournament aims for instilling team spirit and positive competition in fair play to bring out the thrill of football as a favorite global sports, a means of peaceful coexistence and superior skill development. While competitiveness is not discourage, it should be remembered that novice players needs some encouragement and the “win at all costs” philosophy is not appropriate.

The tournament begins with a group play. Teams are divided into groups of four or five, where all teams are playing each other once. The first and second team of the group qualify for Play off A, the other teams of the group for Play off B. The tournament is played under all applicable FIFA or Vietnamese FA rules. All players must be insured by the teams themselves, both for games and leisure time. Arrival for all teams is on Friday, opening ceremony is on Saturday morning, tournament month and date will be informed through the website later, due to the virus outbreak.

The slots for Yakoma’s Cup Vietnam are limited, first comes, first serves. teams are finally confirmed by the team fee & accommodation.

The registration process includes four steps:

1. Fill out the application form (you will see it once you’ve confirmed the below information)

2. You will receive a confirmation email including a reference number as soon as your details have been registered on our end. This email includes information on the next step – how to pay the registration fee. Remember to mention the assigned reference number with your payment!

3. Pay the registration fee, as instructed in the confirmation email. All applications are processed manually therefore it can take up to 24 hours during weekdays (no emails are sent during weekends/holidays) for you to receive the confirmation email. Please note that registrations and payments are processed in order of receipt. If your payment is registered on a Friday, you will receive a confirmation email the week after.

4. Wait for the payment confirmation email. Once the payment has been confirmed on our end you will receive a confirmation of your registration. Please note that this is done manually and your payment might therefore reach us faster than we are able to confirm it back to you via email.

After these four steps, your registration to the Yakoma’s Cup 2020 is completed!

U18 – Boys born 1/1-02 and later(Boys 18 – 11-a-side)
U16 – Boys born 1/1-04 and later(Boys 16 – 11-a-side)
U15 – Boys born 1/1-05 and later(Boys 15 – 7-a-side)
U14 – Boys born 1/1-06 and later(Boys 14 – 7-a-side)
U13 – Boys born 1/1-07 and later(Boys 13 – 7-a-side)
U12 – born 1/1-08 and later (Boys 12 – 8-a-side)
U11 – born 1/1-09 and later (Boys 11- 8-a-side)
U10 – born 1/1-10 and later (Boys 10- 8-a-side)
U9 – born 1/1-11 and later (Boys 9- 5-a-side)

Number of players /coaches per team

Limit to the number of players/coaches registered in each team.

Age categories with 11 aside matches -Max 23 persons (players+coaches+ managers).

Age categories with 8 aside matches -Max 18 persons (players+coaches+ managers).

Age categories with 5 aside matches -Max 12 persons (players+coaches+ managers).

Only 7 substitutes are allowed in each match of 11-a-side.  5 substitutes are allowed in each match of 8-a-side and 5-a-side. Age classes U12, U11,U10, are 8-a-side. Age class U9 is 5-a-side.All players must be able to show proof of age and identity and in the team list  also the Participant list.

All players use the same shirt number throughout the tournament.

Dispensations will automatically be given to two players per squad who are maximum one year over aged (11 a side).  Dispensations will automatically be given to one player per squad who are maximum one year over aged (8 a side, except  U12).  There is no dispensation for Elite 12, U9 (5-a-side)  Note that in 11-a-side categories you can’t have more than two over aged players on the players list, i.e. you can’t switch them between matches.Note that in 8-a-side categories you can’t have more than one over aged players on the players list.

Girls may play in boys teams in all classes as long as the regulations for age categories are followed.

Categories of participation

Category A – Hotel Accommodation:
Only for booking through Yakoma Cup Vietnam. Meals is included in the prices. Contact yakomasports@gmail.com for pricing and availability.

The Participants(Players/Coaches/Leaders) Enjoy

  • Free travels with the Yakoma bus to and from the fields for matches (warm-up, friendlies , sightseeing not included).
  • Free admittance or discounted admittance to most of leading tourist attractions.
  • Free entry to the Opening ceremony.
  •  Yakoma’s Cup name Participant tag is required .

Transfer

Picking up teams from airport to accommodation, tournament venue and back to airport at the end of the tournament for departure.

Extra nights

For teams that have travel arrangements that require extra nights before or after the tournament, this can be arranged (maximum 1 – 3 nights). No meals are included during the extra nights. The cost per night depends on the hotel management

Insurances, responsibility

Make sure that all your players are insured both on and off the playing field. The Yakoma’s Cup officials does not carry any group insurance protecting participants in case of injury, illness, theft or damage to property. Participants from countries that have no medical insurance agreement with Vietnam must have personal medical insurance.

PLEASE DO NOT KEEP ANY MONEY OR VALUABLES IN YOUR HOTEL ROOM.

Prizes

Each player will receive a diploma. For teams reaching the finals, each player will receive a medal. For teams reaching the finals in the B play-off there will be medals and a trophy. The two loosing teams in the A play off semi final will receive a third place trophy and bronze medals during halftime of the final in their game.

for 11 aside, 23 medals for 23 persons max; for 8 aside, 15medals for 15 persons max; for 5 aside, 12 medals for 12 persons max.

In the event that the tournament can’t be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the tournament organizers (force majeure*) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence or the tournament organizers, the tournament organizers cannot be held liable by the delegations for any damages, costs or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial losses etc. Under these circumstances, the tournament organizers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration/accommodation fee and to use it for a future tournament, or to reimburse the delegations after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the tournament and which could not be recovered from third parties.

in case of Force majeure like bad weather ,the referees have the final decision :1) match not started ,re-match should be arranged if it is possible; if it is not possible, the result is decided by penalty shoot out; If penalty shoot is not possible, the result is decided by drawing lots.

2) if the match has started, referees stop the match, waiting for less than 30 minutes,the field is not in the condition to play. A re -match is arranged by starting from when it is left off in the last match. If it is not possible, the result is final. if it a tie in a play-off match, penalty shoot out should be arranged.

*Yakoma’s Cup is in no way responsible for injury or economic loss which may arise in the case of war, warlike events, revolution or civil disturbances or because of the actions of the authorities, strikes, lockouts, blockades or similar events.
